Chinese Famille Rose Open Medallion Vase with Flower Baskets

It is 21cm tall with a 5cm mouth diameter and 5.6cm base diameter. The vase is turquoise blue in colour and is decorated with curling tendril design with the gap painted with flowers. Blossoming flowers are painted on the edge of the mouth and shoulder of the vase in shades of orange, and the bottom is painted with a ring of pink petals.
The three open medallions on the body of the vase are connected by Ruyi (which can symbolize power and good fortune). The Ruyi is decorated with chrysanthemum leaves and the Ruyi pattern is painted on it. The inside is painted with western blue flowers and decorated with chamomile of three different colours.
The inner neck and bottom is glazed green and at the bottom is four characters written in blue which says “QIAN LONG NIAN ZHI”.

 

 

蓝锦地开光粉彩花蓝纹胆瓶

清乾隆。
高 21 厘米，口径 5 厘米，足径 5.6 厘米。
瓶以翠蓝为地，上锥刻卷草锦纹，余隙彩绘洋花。口沿、肩处深浅桔红地绘饰连环朵花纹，底边则画粉色莲瓣一圈。
器腹三开光名以如意串联，开光则以菊叶纹绕围为饰，其上各绘如意连圈纹，开光内名绘西洋蓝花，内饰三色洋菊花卉。器内颈及底部均施湖绿色釉，底部蓝料书（乾隆年制）四字篆款。
